Easter week down the Vic coast

Its been a while between posts here, unfortunately alot of cloud around lately or the clear nights haven't lined up with my work schedule.

The family and I headed down to Anglesea in Vic for some time down the coast, I had my fingers crossed for some aurora activity (5 in drive is much better than 1.5 hrs) and there was on the last night however we were completely clouded out.

The first night I did manage to get out and find a gap in the clouds, I think the clouds added to the scene as they reflected the light pollution from the bay

Attached are 3 shots from my night out, all had only minimal post in lightroom done at this stage.

First 2 are at point roadknight and had an uneasy feeling while shooting there, in the first shot was part of the reason the weird light on the ocean, kept looking up at me, thought it was a boat or ppl on the rock pools at night (there was illegal campers on the beach were I parked) however it turned out to be a guy wading in the water I think he was flounder fishing with a light on a spear.

So as the tide started rolling in and I didnt want to get left on the rocks I packed up and headed to Airey inlet and being unsure of the tides I decided to head to the lighthouse (used in the old TV show around the twist) and take shots of it and Eagle rock instead of heading down to the shore like I had in the past.

All shots with the Canon 6D, samyang 14mm f2.8 lens
1 - ISO 3200 for 25 secs
2 - ISO 6400 for 20 secs
3 - ISO 3200 for 15 secs
4 - ISO 6400 for 20 secs

Let me know what you think

Cheers

Matt
