Nice effort Graham, I'm with Greg, keep using raw, Canons own Digital Photo Professional does an excellent job of raw processing, if you haven't already done so get in with DPP and have a fiddle. The nice thing about DPP is that at any time you can save a copy of an image in what ever format you want, DPP will keep your raw adjustments and you can revert to the original shot settings with a couple of mouse clicks.
