When I worked in a garage I had no bother lifting a 2 ton car 6 ft off the ground with one hand!

On the "nasty side". When we went to school (4th year 1950) the french teacher had a Renault and a crew of us used to lift it up and park it between two trees.
Later we found out this teacher was a real war hero. A pilot shot down in France who escaped back to the UK. We never crossed him again and went out of our way to protect him.
