hey matt,
make sure registax automatic is off.
load bmps (make sure they are bmps not avis)
align using any frame, once finished, using frame list or slider, move to the first image which is now what registax believes is the best quality frame. align again.
limit to where you want (for my image scale 200 frames in god seeing seems to be enough, for ice, 100 seems to be enough)
create reference, slider 3 to 15, slider 4 to 10. this will create quite a sharp image for the rest of the frames to be optimised to. press continue and then optimise.
use stack graph to filter out any that have not optimised well and stack away
