Thank you Mike. I think that when Mars hits the 15" mark it makes a big difference to the detail you can see in images - seeing permitting of course.

Down here it was windy and there was a serious disturbance layer in the atmosphere (one could focus the scope on it while looking at Mars), so I packed up at 11:30, and of course the wind dropped by the time I was locking up the shed..
Just goes to show how different the seeing can be; and we're only 20km or so from each other..
