Sliding tube weights for refractors?

Following on from my thread about a short dovetail for my ZS66, what I really need is something to attach to the tube that will allow me to adjust the balance point. I came across such a device for large Takahashi refractors,

http://www.optcorp.com/takahashi-tub...i-toa-130.html

so why don't these exist for different sizes of scope? I guess you could use a normal tube ring but that wouldn't look very nice.

When I had my original Megrez 80 I attached the foot to my TV mount and then had a clamshell (with no foot) on the tube ahead of the mount. I could slide the clamshell to balance the scope in any position I liked (William Optics scopes have funny balance points!)

I've seen some posts where people are wrapping ankle weights around the tube but, again, that must look awful!
