I think it does somewhat, I definitely feel like I can see more contrast when focussing. Not a great deal but since I have started using it when conditions are right the consistency of the final images are better.
It certainly cuts through some of the glare too, a lot of the fuzziness in the subs has disappeared, the uv/ir may do a better job in that regard but from what I have seen elsewhere the OIII is right up there with a continuum in terms of perfermance.

Of course I don't have any of the other filters to do a comparison with just yet but it has made things slightly easier and given me more to work with.

A 7nm-ha filter works well too according to all reports, the main reason I went with the OIII was because I'm using the astronomik clip ins and there is no continuum version plus I figure I may get night time use out of it, no idea if it's any good for widefield dslr work but it seems to be a useful filter to own.
