Thanks Acarleton & Rob! I have both mono and colour QHY cams though this image was taken with the colour cam. I often combine the cams rather than use RGB filters and this worked very well on Saturn last year but the mono has not given me much extra on Jupiter so I've mainly used the colour cam especially for producing animations.
The QHY is much more sensitive compared to my DFK cam and this makes a big difference on Saturn but I don't think there is a huge difference on Jupiter apart from the superior frame rate of the QHY which helps in poor seeing. I must say the mono QHY is great on lunar and I've got some images to post up from the same night as this Jupiter shot.
Damian Peach has remarked that he considers the QHY5L-II & ZWO ASI120 cams (both have same sensor) to be the leading planetary cams available.
