In response to a couple of questions about this camera:
- The camera is a USB version (already stated)
- The images taken were with a 5x televue barlow (for Saturn and Jupiter) and prime focus for the Sun and Moon (camera only inserted in the focuser).
- No power connection is required, the camera runs via the single USB cable for data and power
- It is capable of up to 60 frames per second
- Each of the images were of 30 seconds capture (450 frames or 1800 either at 15fps or 60fps) stacked and processed in registax 6
- There is no IR filter on the camera
- The camera glass covers the CCD sensor and is quite easy to keep clean, a lens brush or blower easily removes any dust
To re-iterate, this is a colour camera, the specifications of which can be found by clicking on the Imaging source website or by searching the part number DBK21AU618.AS.
All images were taken with my 200mm F5 newtonian reflector with a focal length of 1000mm at prime focus.
Cheers
Chris
