More Mars - March 20, Melbourne

Well had my best imaging session last night - got some good conditions just after 2:00am. At the same time the conditions were strange in that it was never exceptionally steady - I could see lots of details coming into view whilst imaging, but the seeing fluctuations was very fast and very flickery.

Whilst imaging in the Red filter, I could clearly see dots like Phoenicis Lacus - at 11 o'clock from the centre of the disk - which is an area of 8100 sq km (59.5 x 136 km) and Noctis Lacus located at it's 7 o'clock.

In the Blue channel, the cloud features looked like they had a molted and semi 3D appearance.

Mars continues to really impress in this apparition.

Hope others were out there taking advantage.
