The Registax documentation says that this problem is caused by some points to alignment. And solution is to delete these bad points. But it doesn't explain well why and who.

My experience says that this problem is caused by some frames used. As the planet grows and shrinks with refraction you have different borders. AS!2 and Registax align using the points, and stack these frames. The region near the points are well aligned, but the borders of planet not: they are diffuse and change the diameter.
Try manual selection of the frames, with attention to the size of planet. It is better less good frames than many bad frames.
