I cannot really help you with your question, but I've seen the same in some of my own images using a DBK 21 color cam.. So maybe both camera types have the same problem? Or maybe it is something in the processing? Sorry I can't help you.
By the way, if you see Mr. Seeing again, tell him to visit Norway asap!!
