Dont know about Pixinsight, but Startools is easier than PS colour select. You can click on a missed star or around a selected star to increase the selection just on that star, and if you cock up, its reversable, just on that star. Ive spent huge wasted hrs fighting PS with colour select, never again.
This image was a bit different, manual nukeing on the final version worked best (without going back to previous processing steps for auto nukeing), and its easier for 3 can processing (3CP).
