Which one this month?
Once again I have a pile of photo challenge rejects. I truly was stuffed if I knew which one to pick but the family's consensus was go with the swampy. I narrowed it down to 7 birds (some multiple shots of same bird).
The little Silver Eyes were taken whilst in NZ on a volcano in Auckland Harbour. They were soooo used to people that I had to shoo them away from my museli bar that was in my hand.
The juvenile Turkey Vulture was photographed in the Grand Canyon. Ugly brute and the adults are not much better. It was feeding of a stinking carcass and having a great old time.
The Tawny Frogmouth (or Mogfrouth as my nephew says) was sitting in the Silky Oak with its family. Two adults and three juveniles roosted in that tree for the day and flew off that evening.
The Kingfisher and Egret were seen whilst at the Boondall Wetlands Reserve. Does anyone else have rejects for this month?
Peter.
