After a dismal failed attempt at the March SV camp last year to image the sun using Paddy's Solar Scope, we though we would have a try this year. Luckily it was not so hot and we had mains power which made everything a bit easier. Worked out the the image produced by Paddy's ED80 with Lunt 50mm Solar set is much dimmer than in my SMII 60 so had to increase the exposure time a fair bit to get an image.
After a bit of processing with Registax 6 and touching up and colouring in PS Elements we got a result. Only a part of the Sun, we picked the part with the most interesting features, but still not bad for a couple of confirmed visual guys. And it was fun having the imagers pointing and laughing at us as we tried to figure out what we were doing.
