Ok, so I got home and my xw10 was here and clear sky. As unusual as this is, I went about setting up my scope and went inside for a while and let the mirror cool. Went outside 1 hour later with my xw in hand and there was 100% cloud. Another hour went past and it had cleared a little bit so I attempted some observing. I couldn't get a look at anything without fighting the cloud so I eventually gave up and disassembled the scope only to find it completely clear 20minutes later. This has to be the most frustrating hobbie imagineable. Will try again tommorow. The xw is the first premium eyepiece I have looked through really and I found that I wanted to press my eyeball against it because of the pinhole I'm used to looking into. It took me a while to learn to back off a bit. I think I am going to like it. Also got a televue 2x barlow and a 16mm T2 Nagler on the way from the US so more cloudy skies to look forward to.
