I use a simple garden umbrella. it's big enough and portable enough, cheep enough to buy two if you need it. And they double as a garden umbrella.
If you buy the type that can be set to 45deg you can block out just about anything.
I use tent rope and pegs and peg them into the ground so they dont blow over.
They work really well.
