Mirko - you are absolutely right of course - if your pupil is exactly filled by the telescope , the Eta Carina nebula for example has exactly the same surface apparent brightness with the naked eye as it does in a 2 meter telescope - only the magnification and resolution changes

When people get this they have an `aha ' moment in their understanding of how telescopes work.
