CJ You would have to be a longtime mac user to understand maybe? There are cheaper macs all the time now, something that never existed before, ie the cheaper intel chips.
If you were a mac user you would find macs dont need to be upgraded as often as PC's do, they are made to last a lot longer, thats why they are traditionally more expensive, it works out the same.
I have enjoyed the no brainer aspect of macs for years - no rebuilds that take a whole day every 4-6 months ect. ect. I have never ever had a virus or whatever or had to daily upgrade my anti-virus software, ect ect.
Perhaps some people like a unix based OS that is as stable as a rock, I was enjoying an awesome GUI interface long before xp came along, lets face it before XP came on the scene they were terrible PC OS's
