Thanks Allan. I'm still trying to improve it but ultimately you run into the limitations of the data which wasn't very good. BTW the Capella link doesn't work for me but I suspect it's my recalcitrant computer.

Also according to LEDA, NGC 2997 is 9.41' X 6.83' in size not 5' X 4' but you're right, it has a rather low surface brightness of 22.5mag/sq arc sec which is only a little brighter than NGC 6744 in Pavo
I'm not happy with it myself Mike but currently can't seem to get it any better.
