Excellent result Michael! That dust is very faint and in the not too distant past was either not picked up by imagers/photographers or if it was picked up was processed out

Steve Mandel was certainly not the first person to image this dust, it was picked up in various sky surveys all over the sky since the 70's and was showcased beautifully by David Malin and others and was and is still referred to as Galactic Cirrus Dust. The term Integrated Flux Nebula or IFN is a much more recent term coined my Steve Mandel et al in around 2005 to further describe it given its multi faceted mechanism for illumination and this name appears to have stuck, at least in the amateur imaging world, especially in the US.
