Thanks Greg. I don't like the sharpening artifacts starting to show. I have tried relayering a non-panda-eye layer, but it doesn't look right.
Answer - pure and simply, MORE DATA!
And now I have SII and OIII filters to supplement the Hα, the moon is no hindrance
(well, lessened hindrance)
