Another chip to consider is the KAI29050. It's roughly the same size as the KAI11000 but offers 29 megapixels sized at 5.5 microns. QE is roughly the same as the KAI11002. The one drawback of course is the shallow 20K full well depth, a result of its small pixel size.

Richard Crisp has used this chip and likes it. If you search the web a bit you can find some images Richard captured with the 29050.

For fast astrographs and with good seeing, the image scale of the KAI29050 works out quite nicely. For example, for the RH200 with its 600mm focal length, the image scale works out to be 1.89 arcseconds/pixel.
