Windy doesn't come to describe it, does it!
It was gusting up to 115kph at one point in the last week that I was there.
On the stinking hot day (for Hobart) that was in the 30's, I took my youngest son up the top of Mt Wellington and without a work of exaggeration it was in the minus figures due to wind chill.

It was funny seeing the tourists in their t-shirts and shorts getting out of their hire cars and rushing back in again, while my son and I were rugged up in our cold weather gear.

I was quite disappointed to not be able to shoot a moving time-lapse from up there due to the wind, but in my haste with a complaining freezing son, I shot off a quick pano with little thought to anything much but getting it done quickly and I think that it might be my best ever pano that I have shot!
