I took this one over last weekend. This is an interesting galaxy pair. They look as if they are associated, but in fact this is a nice example of one of Halton Arp's discordant redshifts. NGC1232B has a recessional velocity of about 5000km/s greater than NGC 1232, which, according to current theory and my calculations makes NGC1232B 200 million light years further away than NGC 1232.

Some improvement is evident.

Exposure: 5.3 hours, more or less equally distributed between LRGB
