Ok, so we are sort of the same here, returning to the G11 after the AP mount. I found it took a while getting used to it again seeing I hadn't used it for 2 years. But after the memory recovered the hidden data, things worked ok.
You'll be right. Just try it before you go. I did the mistake of not trying first, and spent a few hours saying loud profanities until all was well. How embarrassing.
