Some people prefer the new business model with a relatively low but perpetual monthly free and the constant drip of updates and enhancements. Personally I don’t and will use CS6 until it dies and hope that something else comes on the market as a replacement.
In summary, CS6 is the last boxed version and is probably nigh on impossible to purchase whereas CC is the new beaut monthly rental version that stops working if you don’t connect every 90 days or if you stop your payments. There may be hefty exit fees too.
CC downloads and installs on your PC like any other app and runs locally – it only wants to ‘phone home every 90 days.

I do have a good freind who is right into graphic art, signage, posters etc, a very equipped Mac guy who has the Adobe suite via monthly debit, tho I didnt know this was going to be the only way in the near future with Adobe. Thanx very much for your time on explaining this insight !
I think I need to find the last CS6 boxed edition, and fast, atleast then I may get several, if not more yrs out of it

I know the Coop Bookshop did have booked versions of Creative Suite available a few weeks ago and these were around $300 to $350.

I would be very interested in knowing a contact for said coop bookstore if possible tho, are they in Aus, I dont do much with books : )
