If it's on the inside then it won't come off when you clean it!

It's probably worth a test clean of the outside surface. Read up on how best to do this before you try it though. You'll see different opinions but best to make up your own mind. Always use distilled water to dilute the cleaning agent though (in my case Isopropyl - bought at Bunnings).
