Agree. Here in NL many people (particularly girls between 20 and 35) are screaming into their iPhone on a volume level audible to the whole train cabin which can enjoy her life story.
So I hope when the EU releases a ban on cellphones on aircraft this will not be allowed (or charged steeply, e.g at least a few $ a minute) on aircraft. It is the last resort of silence during transport.
I even don't miss internet during 10+ hour flights, enough offline entertainment such as taking pics of the sky (yes that is possible !) from the aircraft.
