I have the 42mm too.
Optically, they are usable, considering the price.
On my f10 SCT, it gives x45 and 1.5 deg fov, so it is good for dso.
The only negative, is , it fogs easily in cold nights unless you use a heater. The moisture tends to get in and it takes some time to dry out.
