Havent even unwrapped the box under the tree, but considering my first major upgrade down the track. Its a bintel 252B 10" dob and maybe ive been reading too much but already would like at least push to on it.

I think the first upgrade apart from a few simple and cheap mods will come in the form of digital push to.

Choices seem to be argo-navis and nexus at this point.

AN seems a tried and tested mod on this scope and all parts are available, but I think falls short of Nexus in 2 areas. The Bluetooth connectivity of the nexus makes connection to Ipad / android device easy and more useable, cost, nexus seems much cheaper.

I have no doubt the AN system is great and does a few things the nexus cant, but cant get past the above points.

Has anyone added nexus to a standard GSO dob, or have a link to a project where it was done. Ive looked here and CN but cant seem to find any.

The encoder mounting kit that AN ships with seems like a great thing to have, how easy would it be to do something similar for a nexus build.
