Hi folks,
Here's my first crack at NGC 2244 from Suburban Melbourne on a rare clear night with reasonable seeing.
It's such a massive object, I can't fit the whole thing in my camera! (SBIG 8300c) I might need to ask Santa for a focal reducer for Christmas.
It's still lowish on the horizon so perhaps worth revisiting later in Feb. Took a while to process and bring out the colours, and the stars still a bit iffy, but it's ok for a first attempt with the OSC.
24 x10 min exposures, IDAS LP filter.
