Basically the Peltier mod will be using a 40 x 40mm 60-72 watt peltier unit sandwiched to the back of the camera with a modified PC CPU Heatsink on the heat output side. I'll insulate the camera side and front with a thick neoprene casing ( beer can holder LOL ).
I can drive the peltier with a modified PC power supply on the 5volt line which should theoretically give about 30 watts of cooling to start with. If that works I'll look at higher voltages if I need lower temperatures. Depending on the temp delta and heatsink suitabilty I can upgrade with higher capacity sinks or with enough temp output to a thermoliquid cooled unit. I have some substantial copper based units with a perfect 40 x 40 footprint and heaps of fins and room to add a fan or two. With an EQ6 and just the Lunt on board weight loading isn't a consideration.

Geez, I'm having fun playing with this wee thing, it's been a great new toy so far and I've only just started.
Deep view DSO's are the big target, hence the cooling requirement.
I may have to beef up my pier a bit as well to reduce any vibration at thekind of image scale and exposure times that will require.
