Adam, A 2" barlow is not any better optically than a 1.25" one. It is
just that many observers eventually get some 2" eyepieces, so why
buy 2 barlows, when the 2" with it's 1.25" adaptor will work with both
sizes. If of course you don't ever intend to get any 2" eyepieces, then
just get a 1.25" one. I personally strongly recommend that you get at
least one low power 2" [say 30-40mm Superview]. They give a truly
immersive experience, like looking through a window.
