Hi Rex, I do appreciate your comments. I am very new to processing images. This is only the third one I've done. I don't know about star masks yet so you have given me a new technique to learn to improve my images. What I meant about pushing it too far was the over blown areas. I'm keen to have another go to see if I can reduce the over bright areas and hopefully bring out some more detail, how, I don't know, but that's what learning is all about and I do appreciate your comments about the square stars too. I hadn't noticed the square shape. To me it is the diffraction spikes, which I don't mind. But I am keen to learn the mask technique you suggest so I will chase it up and have a go.
