The remarkable AR 1890 complex, Brisbane 7th Nov 2013.

Well, along with the cloudless skies, Queensland turned on the seeing and gifted me with some nice moments of a steady atmosphere, where the solar granulation could easily be seen in scattered patches across the solar disc as I recorded a series of 3000 frame AVI’s.

The local air temperature was a cool 30 ºC compared to the somewhat more blistering 5,800 K of the Sun's surface.

This is the best of the series and shows some wonderful detail in the remarkably larger AR 1890 complex.
  • Takahashi Mewlon 180 F12
  • Tak Extender x1.6
  • ZWO ASI120MM CCD camera
  • Captured using Firecapture.
  • Aligned and stacked in AutoStakkert2
  • Wavelets applied in Registax.
  • Finishing in CS6.

Cheers
