AR1890 coming over the solar limb and the AR1884 & 1885 complex.

Nature was toying with me. A thin band of feathery cloud straddled the Sun; elsewhere the skies remained clear. It was not going to be an easy day in the 30 ºC temperatures. The on-screen view revealed the wispy tendrils of cloud as they drifted across the solar disc, frustratingly keeping pace with the Sun.

However, I persevered and was rewarded with two good imaging runs from the 20 or so attempted, which produced the following results showing some nice detail in AR1890 coming over the solar limb and the AR1884 & 1885 cluster.
  • Tak Mewlon 180 F12
  • Tak Extender x1.6 (efl of 3456mm at F19.2)
  • ZWO ASI120MM CCD camera
  • Baader astro-solar film (3.8 astro photography)
  • Processed in AutoStakkert AS!2, Wavelets in Registax 5 and finishing in CS6
