Strange David you should get more frames than that.
Down load FireCapture and you can use it at 16Bits but only 15fps at full res. More at ROI settings. 8 Bit should be 26 to 30 Fps. As for the weird pattern, it is on mine too but is gone after stacking and you need to use a flat. That call was from memory if it will clear up I will check. Nice image detail. At 16 bit you can get disc and proms in one hit. Go here-

Mind you there were not many proms that day. Also that is very close to what I see in the eye piece. If I want to highlight the prom further, you can by using Shadows/ Highlights.
