First Jupiter from the 26th

Here's my first effort from the morning of the 26th March.

I got up at around 2:00am first, but the seeing wasn't very good and clouds came over - so I only got 1 avi. Went back to bed. Got up again at 4:00am, no clouds and much better seeing.

Took 15 avi's in total, with the Io shadow transit, the beginning of an Io transit, and Ganymede coming out of the shadow of Jupiter. The seeing fluctuated a fair bit, but hopefully the quality is good enough across the range to do another animation.

Here's the first of the 15. I had to create a composite to get the moon in, as ppmcentre cropped it out so I did a run of processing on the planet, and then used the avi with registax aligned on the moon to create the second image.

I then copied the moon image as a new layer on the planet image in photoshop, and cut out the planet area of the moon layer to combine them.

I've got a long week of processing ahead, i'll try and get it done before SPSP!

Comments welcome.
