Tonights Viewing

Nice clear night in Cairns tonight. Annoying neighbour has his Million candelpower flood lights on again. I had a few technical difficulties with my CCD (star pointer on telescope battery dead, so couldn't align properly). I managed to get some decent photo's of my favourite part of the sky again, and even managed to get a decent wide shot of M31, my first ever photo of another galaxy.

Early this morning I also managed to get a few shots of M42, I'm proud of the close up of it, but not very proud of the processing, as I think I had a few issues with DSS.

So here are some images:

1. M31 Andromeda Galaxy & M110 Dwarf Elliptical Galaxy Wide Shot
2. M42 Orion Nebula (Very sad this didn't process very well)
3. M8 Lagoon Nebula & M20 Trifid Nebula Wide Shot
4. M6 Butterfly Cluster & M7 Ptolemy Cluster Wide Shot

Comments Welcome.
