Hey Phil.... its been a while...
So far the EQ8 has been great, except for the darned axes locking levers! Even after adjustment I can't seem to get quite enough locking force out of them.
Its too easy for things to move with the slightest nudge.. not good.
Tracking-wise though its great; the difference in error on a good night between RA & DEC is about 0.1"( RMS). Overall tracking errors are about 0.3" to 0.7" RMS depending on conditions.
I have been using it lately with EQMOD which is a breeze, & hope that they implement the homing function soon (very useful).
Overall I'm happy with it so far..
