yes Rowland, the quality of the gear makes all the difference. I just got tired of the temperamental attitude of cheaper stuff and playing around and testing, so bit the bullet and its paid off. its so good when things just work the way they're meant to.
the sbig's cooling is impressive and the filter wheel is such a breeze to use.
Next step is to change my secondary from 70mm to 88mm to get that 100% illuminated circle bigger, hopefully that should give me better contrast / details.
The speed of the F4 really shows.
This Fri and Sat are clear, so I will revisit Orion cause everyone needs an M42 image, then will do some Ha.
