I took a boating trip on Sydney harbour a couple of weeks ago and was interested to see the new Barangaroo development. It certainly isn't the Sydney my father or me new when we were growing up in a whole lot of respects.

Anyway, you are hard pressed to see Sydney observatory now looking at the first pic. I think the observatory may have to be raised otherwise the scopes may only be able to observe the zenith in coming years.
