Twin sunspots
Oct 15th. Some interesting sunspots at the moment - worth following as they move across the sun's disc and change shape. The two largest (twins) are AR 11861. I noticed a little flaring in one of these spots. Two images shown here - the first in Ha light (Solarmax II 60 mm) and the second at 540 nm thru a Herschel wedge (80 mm refractor). Both taken with a Canon DSLR camera. Sky conditions were very rough and cloudy so these are not the best. Thanks for viewing.
