Hi everyone...
Here's my best image yet of the core region of the Great Nebula in Orion, M42.
This image is composed from 3 x 15 second exposures (45-seconds total) using ISO-200, on the 12-inch f/5 telescope with the Baader Coma Corrector and modified Canon 300D. The images are not dark-subtracted, flat-fielded or bias adjusted. The resulting image is about 7 arc-minutes wide. Images were processed with IRIS with final adjustments in Photoshop.

The Hubble Space Telescope also imaged this area of the Great Nebula which is where the name 'Crucible of Creation' was coined, see this link for more info
