Nice fit Stefan , it looks like the extra width of the base is causing the problem ? ,how much are the clips pulling that last little bit down ? 5mm ? 10mm ? .
If its only 5mm I don't see it being a problem if that little extra weight is coming on the base .
One more thing , can you see the case lid rising as you flick the catches down ? if not I would not worry as the foam is doing its job .
But as I said if that little extra is coming down on the base of the scope which is bigger in diameter than the scope , I would not worry as that part is quite strong .
