It is a pity in a lot of ways, it does certainly get dull watching him romp off into the distance while the real racing goes on back in the pack. You do wonder a little how he would go if he was in the pack and having to fight with degraded aero and knocking the tyres around rather than being able to set his own pace.
It is a bit like parts of the Schumacher era, I recall one race when they muffed a fuel stop which cost him badly but it put him in clear air so they asked him for about a dozen laps mid race at near pole time from qualifying, he just reeled them off and at the next fuel stop, popped out in front again and went on to win.
It will be interesting next year, surely the change in technical rules will result in a lot more mechanical issues for a while and evern performance differences while they sort it all out.
