I think that Richard Muhlack and Justin Tilbrook have quite adequately shown us all the ability of a DSLR in the right hands and determination.
I completely agree about the tools analogy. My pet peeve is when people claim it is impossible to get decent astroimages out of an OSC CCD. Pure bollocks. Not saying mine are any good, but I persist at it and am (SLOWLY) improving.
