I converted my Canon 20D to 665nm NIR last month and got some great photos. Modding the camera make framing and focusing so much easier.
I love the sureal look you can produce, and the channel swap really gives it a unique look!
I was getting some hot spots with my standard lenses also. There was a website that listed which ones performed better than others for NIR. Keep it up
