Some pics from back home.

These were taken by one of my aunties who's an avid mountaineer. She's in her 70s now but doesn't mind going for a stroll on week-ends and where I'm from nothing's flat so they do keep in shape.

I've attached a googlemap (north is up) that locates the area on the spanish border and I annoted the photos with cardinal point as best as I remember.

This is from the French side of the Pyrenees. You can see some cable tracks in #3 between the tree line. This is a sky track in winter.

#4, #5 & #8 show a pic called 'le Vignemale' which is part of a great curved wall called 'le cirque de Gavarnie'.

#6 is the 'Breche de Roland' at approx. 2800m altitude that has a bit of legend linked to it.

It's the end of Summer into Autumn there so not much snow yet but it'll be white again in a couple of month time.
